December 02 - February 22, 2007
Works & Images by Pat Adams, Millie Falcaro, Wendy Small, NASA & The Hubble Space Telescope
The Exhibition may be viewed Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 11:00AM to 5:00PM, and by appointment. Please call 646-422-0544 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to make arrangements.
BIG/little examines scale, scope and dimension in the visible and invisible world. The exhibit ranges from images of microscopic organisms to close-ups and landscapes of everyday objects, and culminates with images, both literal and abstract, of enormous spaces, galaxies and solar systems. While some of the works are realized through an imaginative process that conjures both minutia and vastness, others are photographic evidence of the relativity of magnitude and the complexity of the infinitesimal.
Among the works that will be included in the exhibit are the mixed media paintings of Pat Adams, photograms by Wendy Small, color photographs by Millie Falcaro and images from the Hubble Space Telescope.
Exhibition curated by Hallie Cohen, Chair, Art Department, Marymount Manhattan College.
